Miselu Closes $6 Million Series A Financing From Innovation Network Corporation of Japan
Mountain View, CA – August 8, 2011 – Miselu, the company that's developing an Android-powered and social back-end music device, announced that it has closed a $6 million Series A financing from Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (INCJ), a public-private investment fund. In connection with this investment, Jun Hosoya from INCJ will be joining the Board of Directors of Miselu.
"Miselu is comprised of a team dedicated to the use of technology in showing our world in new and enchanting ways. We have spent a year developing the concept for a totally-new, socially interactive music device that brings a new experience of creative interaction with music and video, and which will become a key part of our global social music creation platform," said Yoshinari Yoshikawa, Founder & CEO of Miselu. "Having this new investment will allow us to accelerate our efforts for product development."
Miselu derives from the Japanese word "to show" and "to enchant". Miselu is based in the heart of Silicon Valley, and was founded in 2008 Japanese entrepreneur Yoshinari Yoshikawa. Miselu is currently engaged in the development of an Android-powered, network connected music device, consisting of a piano keyboard, touch-sensitive panel and camera, and that allows user interaction on a variety of social networking sites. The device is planned for public release in 2012.
